Join the Nancy & David Wolf Holocaust & Humanity Center for its Upstander Service Night. HHC will be leading a group volunteer activity at Freestore Foodbank’s Mayerson Distribution Center on December 1, from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. After learning about what it means to be an upstander and why HHC features the Freestore Foodbank in its Humanity Gallery, volunteers will help pack and organize food products for those in need. Freestore Foodbank’s mission is to improve lives by eliminating hunger in partnership with our community, and our vision is to create a hunger-free, healthy, and thriving community.

Upstander Service Days allow participants to give back to the community through a volunteer service project while learning about what it means to be an upstander.

LIMITED CAPACITY AVAILABLE. Please register on Freestore Foodbank’s website:  HTTP://VHUB.AT/XHHC

Nature & Spirit hikes are new monthly opportunities for Friends of Marianist Environmental Education Center donors and volunteers to spend time with each other in the Mount St. John nature preserve with staff to build awareness of seasonal changes that inform our spiritual journey. We will heighten our observation skills, using all our senses to learn about – and from – the species in our larger Earth community and their Creator. We will learn and practice prayer and reflection techniques to nurture ourselves as stewards, peacemakers, and justice seekers.
We’ll gather in Lot C at Mount Saint John at 12:45 on the fourth Friday of each month unless otherwise noted on our website. Hikes will last 60-90 minutes. No registration is required, but we do ask you let us know you plan to attend by emailing info@meec.center by Wednesday prior.
